Congratulations to Kapanke for Publishing Stances

In reference to Dan Kapanke finally officially publishing his political stances, Michael Krsiean has this to say, “I congratulate Dan on finally, after half a year into the campaign, being able to commit to positions and publically put them to the written word on his website.

As I read through Dan’s positions I am pleased to note that the citizens of the 3rd district will have very different candidates from which to choose their next Representative.

While Dan seems to have a hard time using the words ‘cut’, ‘defund’ and ‘dismantle’ in regards to the hugely overgrown federal government bureaucracy, those words are part of Mike Krsiean’s main objective declarations and commitments in running for this US House office. It is nice to see Dan follow my lead in developing a more and more fiscally conservative approach to his campaign, but more fiscally conservative development is needed….after all, he is a conservative, right?

I note Dan declares he won’t increase taxes in these hard economic times. I say we need to REDUCE spending and taxes in bad AND good times. Dan declares he wants to “Address the pending return of the Death Tax to 2001 levels” whatever that means, while I want to eliminate it. Dan wants to stop increasing the ceiling for debt. I want to decrease and then eliminate it. Dan wants to massage and keep the IRS, I want to slash spending and get the IRS out of our lives by going to a citizen controlled sales tax (FAIRTAX) with its prebate feature. Dan wants to “Reject Cap and Trade proposals that target farmers.” I want to reject Cap and Trade IN ITS ENTIRETY. And for the kicker, regarding healthcare reform Dan, like Ron Kind declares “Reform should target outcomes, not reward inputs that drive up costs”, thereby Dan sets the stage for government quality measures of physicians and government meddling between a doctor and the patient.

When it comes down to it, Dan is really continuing to advocate for unconstitutional and unacceptable levels of government intrusion into our lives.
